Default 88 928S4 idle problem.

Hi,
First problem , my 88 928S4 can't seems to hold idle when the engine is cold. I have to pump the gas pedal a few time to keep it from stalling. I have replace the idle valve but still has the same problem. Second problem, when the car comes to a stop with the gear in drive the engine would virbrate every 5 seconds. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

It could also be a vacuum leak. There are many possible areas for leaks, check them out.

One of the best jobs I did on my '88 S4 was a complete top end R&R. All new vacuum lines, seals, Injectors cleaned, connectors.. everything I could lay my hands on while the intake was out. 928 Specialists has a kit now with all the bits and pieces.
The engine is nice and smooth now, and I had idle problems when I started. Turned out to be the front oil breather line under the intake.

Before I put my foot in my mouth, where did you take the car already?

I am considering taking her to Greg at Precision in Anaheim, CA. I took her to Devito in Orange last week and they spent a three days without any success. John.
