Alan, did you post what you found as far as the wire connectors being from left to right on the motors and potentiometer? the 123?

Also, where did you pick the power up for the number 2?

It looks like on a 94 it comes off of position number 2 at the light switch, do you see any problem just picking it up from X with maybe a 5 amp fuse?
Doing that sure would make it simpler to do.
Or I can take it from the unused fuse at number 9 or from the license plate fuse at number 43.

The wiring diagram calls for some .75MM wire, which is very small, between 20.5 and 21 gauge, so I will go with a 18 or 16 gauge, depending on what fits what ever connectors I can get.

I have sent my Wurth rep a note asking about the connectors and correct color wires. (not holding my breath on that one)

If I can get them I will turn the information over to Roger to see if he want to stock this stuff.

I am going to try and get as much of it for stock at the shop as I can afford, this may be out of my financial reach though, lots of different color and size wire on the many models of 928's.

I found this Greg.
it says "7/.028 = 20 (7 strands that measure .028 each equals 20 gauge)"

Thanks, but in 94 the wire was .75 MM, not that it would matter much, it is fused at 5 amps.

Ok, I have found 2 of the three colors of wires in 18 gauge from Wurht USA, the only one they do not have is the Brown/red wire, which is the ground, so I will just use plain brown, as any 928 wrench will know that is a ground.

Starting to look up for doing this right.

If any one wants a harness made while I am doing mine, let me know, I may make more than one depending on how much trouble it is to install and remove.

Greg - here are some pictures of the bullet connectors I used - not really happy with it but its been functional for many years without issue.

Alan, Thanks!! Does the **** just push on like the headlight ****?
Can you post a picture of the backside of the ****, where it fits the pot?
Apparently the **** for the 90+ electrical adjusters is NLA, I am trying to adapt an early **** that Roger sent.

Greg, the 3-pin connector housing that fits the motor is 311-906-231-B, that's a VAG part# that also appears in PET, used for mirror assemblies and other applications in some models in the 1988-1995 time frame. I believe that Roger has some of those.

I *think* the contact that goes with that housing might be 111-971-958, also a good PET part. Roger is sending some of those and I will check the fit. I believe that he also found the part# for the sealing boot that goes with that connector.

What's your estimated cost to do any of these for others that have an interest?
Have you found all the parts you need, switches motors etc.?

I think yours is hydraulic, not electrical, not that it matters much.

I have no idea about the total costs, as I have not paid for the wire, coverings, and connectors yet, but if I had to guess, i am going to say close to 2 grand in parts for all of the system, H4 lights, Silverstars ultras, the motors and etc.

I will make a post after I get the harness done as to how much time it takes to make the harness.

I think I have found everything so far, with the exception of the wire ends, and if I can find them they will all be sourced from Roger, who has been a huge help in making this happen, so any parts I find will be bought through him if he wants to stock them.

I am going to try the Silverstar Ultras first.
I have no idea of the wattage of them.

I'm using (per Alan's suggestion) 80/100 watts in my H4's with the low/high beam filaments on at the same time when high beam is selected only.

I'm very pleased with the in-expensive bulbs I sourced time will tell if these bulbs will last as long as the Silverstars (I do carry some spares in the car at any time).

Good luck

that is what I have in my corvette with Euro lens, works really well, even with only one filament on at a time, on the 70 Chevelle I have it set up so all four lights are on when they are on high and it is the best headlight set up I have ever used.
i hope the 928 is near that good.

i have been running Euro flat lens in my DD's for the last 20 years with high wattage bulbs, and have never had a problem with the police or oncoming traffic being blinded.

you really have to keep on top of the headlight aiming though.
i have the aiming set from snap-on, but I would like to get a optical aimer, but they are really proud of them.
