I'm happy for you. Persistence is often the trick.
Do I understand correctly that it's Florida that changed the title to salvage/rebuidable? Or is it Nevada that saw the light?
Do you still need a Nevada title and registration?

Thanks everyone. Here is the condensed version. I spoke with the insurance company that wrote the car off as a total. ( Firemans Fund Insurance ) They sent me copies of the incident report from when the car was in the rear end collision. It stated on the report that the car was a total loss / non repairable. But it also stated that the vehicle was driveable. I contacted the insurance co again and discussed this fact with the rep. He said the car was written off as a total because the repairs would exceed 80% of the estimated value of the car. The estimated value on the report was $4900.00. The repair estimate was $6100.00. I think that the original owner had something to do with this. When I was in the process of buying the car the seller told me that the PO told the insurance to "write it up big". I think by doing this he screwed himself. The ins rep agreed that the vehicle should have been declared repairable not non repairable. He drafted me a letter to give to the FL DMV that said that the car should have not been written off as a non repairable and that the damage was primarily cosmetic. I sent FL DMV all of my documentation from the insurance company. I had spoke with FL DMV several times during this process to find out if they would be willing to make the change to the title. They said that with proper documentation from the issueing insurance co it could be done. One hold up that I had was getting all of my documentation returned back to me from the FL DMV after I sent it all to them. They said they needed the original title that I had and a check for the processing fee. The last DMV rep I spoke with prior to sending in my paper work said not to send the original title and made no mention of a processing fee. This added a couple of weeks to the process. So anyway, FL DMV made the change to the title and NV DMV will accept this as a good title that will allow me to register the car. It will have to be registered as a " reconstruct title". This is the same as a salvage title in some states. At least I have the documentation to back up the title history if / when I sell the car. I have the day off work next Friday, so I will be going to the NV DMV to make it official. Whew! It was a long stressfull process, but I still think I got a good deal on the car. $4200.00 plus travel expenses to get it home from FL.

Great News!
From the pictures you posted, the car is gorgeous. With the low price you paid for it, and in spite of all of the registration headaches, you are clearly WAY ahead.
WE HAVE A WINNER!
Now enjoy that car of yours.
