Default Gear Oil

I changed my gear oil today. The trans was rebuilt at 119k but there is no mention to it being changed ever and with 206k on the car now I thought it should definitely be done. Here is what the old stuff looked like. I put in the redline stuff now. Anyone know what the bolts torquing is? i did 42 lb.

Old stuff looks OK. Good time to change it.

The torque spec in 22Nm. That's 16 foot pounds!

I think so many people have problems with these because POs and mechanics crank the things down. Those bolts are NPT threads and wedge in.
