for all of the bad relay owners it is a wise decision to get a fuse relay chart here.

Print one off and use it to confirm the correct position of fuses and the correct part number of the relays on your CE panel
More than a few times a PO has substituted the incorrect relay and this leads to many wild goose chases, when a simple CE panel inspection would have cleared things up

Yep, that's exactly what I did thanks to this posting. Unfortunately, I printed off the list last year but never got around to doing that particular check until now. Oh well.

New Post: hello all,

I own a 1983 928 with a 4.7 5 speed that I purchased with a CIS Fuel Injection. The engine seized, and I bought a 1983 4.7 with the L Jetronic Fuel Injection. I just exchanged the engine and when I start it, it dies after a few seconds. Even if I remove the harness from the brain, the engine does the same thing.

My question: The harness to the brain has a 24 pin connector and two other wire bundles, one with a round three female pin coupler and one with a think green cable that has a male connector that looks like a radio antenna connector, (this green cable also has a two pin square female connector with blue and brown wire. I hooked up the 24 pin but where does the other two leads go to?
