On monday afternoon I was splitting traffic in the car pool lane on my bike when I rode past a red 928 s4 with Nevada plates. I beeped my horn twice as I went by and the poor driver jumped, I was trying to say hi but he probably thought I was mad at him. I wish I had the time to say hi and show my 928 badge. Driving a 5 spd in LA sucks.

Couple months ago a GT2 wanted to play while I was on my bike...that car is fast.

Diver? Only on the Catalina expressway.

A blow-up doll with a .357 inch orifice seems to be intimidating for some reason...

Since the advent of the camera phone, I have had several folks take pics of my car at stoplights. It tends to give me a swelled head. Nothing like getting a little recognition for a nice car, that you've put some hard work, blood, sweat, and tears into. Makes your day!!!!!!!

Yes I carry one of those as well. But nobody sees it, and more importantly nobody hears it. If I happen to have the need to show it to someone that will be the last thing they hear. Not something to casually show (brandish) to anybody regardless of what they are doing.

Recently I got a different response from a Corvette driver. While cruising on the highway at about 80 a vette pulled to my right, stuck his hand out and gave me the "Rock's" just bring it wave, calling me out.

I thought about it, but it was 3:30 on a Friday on a decently crowded highway in NJ. I just followed him at about 110 mph, never trying to actually pass. BTW, it was a MY 2000, I don't think my 83 could hang with him anyway.

Seems as no one in NJ even know what my car is....still waiting on all the thumbs up!!!

A local hot head got pulled over in NH for pullin' a stunt like that with a pellet gun of all things.......He spent considerable time and cash with the local constables, before it was all over. The road rage stuff has gotten so bad that staties in NH and MA actually are on the lookout for these types.

Man, Randy, I know how you might feel sometimes, but you are way better off not acting on it. Whole lotta grief can come from a moment of indescretion. At least that is what I keep telling myself......

I agree. You'll note I never indicated I showed it - all it took was the reach to the glove box, the retrieval and the placing on the passenger seat of my OWNER'S MANUAL.

As I see it, the problem is that if someone thinks you have a gun and they have a gun, and you really don't have a gun.......do I need to finish this? More than a few times I hear how police shoot to death a kid who had what appeared to be a gun, and it turned out to be something else. And police are trained to be more perceptive than the goons on the road. I have always thought that I would not show my gun unless I was prepared to use it. FWIW.
