Randy, ol' pal - perhaps you might consider emailing Heinrich directly.

Just a suggestion... but I understand the concept of the pillory.

Great news! Just wonder why they went so low?

Lets see. We only have a few left, so lets raise the price to $1,200 so we don't have to make any more.
Few months later:
They just sold out, now we have to order more and the min. qty is X, so we better drop the price to move them off the shelf space.
Few months later:
Were almost out, lets raise the price so we don't have to order more.....

... Randy, in times like these I am reminded of a hot summer's day ... I am thousands of miles away from my Porsches ... and someone rolls up in a 928 and smiles, offers me a couple of the coldest beers I've ever had ....

One of the stories from Porsche was that they ordered the manuals to be printed after 2-3 years of not having any and when the order arrived the printer had greatly increased his prices so the retail price was to be $1,200. Naturally all those who had them on backorder CANCELLED the orders so PCNA looked into it further and determined that the printers price was NOT approved and basically sent them back (or threatened to ) Since it is copyrighted material the printer could NOT SELL them. Now several months later Porsche is offering them for sale at a greatly reduced cost. There is a limited number available. In my opinion if any of the above is factual Porsche will not be having anymore printed especially by the current printer! So when these are gone the workshop manuals on paper will probably be no more !

That's a good price if you want the paper version...
I have I think every version there is... microfiche, 9-volume set, and CD. It's the 9-volume set that gets the most use by far - no computer in the shop so the CD version is not much use - and when I do use it - I always end up having to print the pages out anyway.

I note that Mark and 928 Intl could have been an opportunist and charged deep for this item once it became available again... but his business ethics would not allow it. Thanks for the good price!

Get your 9-volume set - its the way to go!

In my best Gilbert Godfried voice.... "Son-of-a-Bith*"!!

I want a rebate!!! Or at least I want the missing pages out of my overpriced set.

Whoa - if someone bought them for $1200, then they have experienced more depreciation than Yugo owners. Not very Porsche-like...

There are CD versions and then there is Jim M's CD version. Do not settle for anything else.

Nope this is a special situation Porsche just wants to see these go away .....about 30 have been spoken for thus far. More are available just give me a call/email . I will be very surprised if they ever print these again and certainly not at this heavily discounted price.

I;m VERY tempted to buy more copies. You guys may not realise what an incredible deal this is. I foresee these babies selling for well over a 1000 bucks next year. Of course I have been wrong in the past.

Yes H the thought of speculating in workshop manuals futures has some appeal and Randy selling workshop manuals is like teaching a hungry person how to fish
