Default Racing master cylinder

Has anyone used a unboosted tilton or similar brake master in place of the stock unit. Would it be realistic to do this on a track only car with the brembo set-up? The reason i ask is as I am tying the front shock towers with a brace running back to the dash bar on the roll cage. It will be tight to get the brake booster in after these are in place. I figure I can keep the clutch as is and add a separate resvoir for it.
Darrin.

You may want to install the bars with heim joints on either end. Then you can remove the bar or adjust the tension to suit.

Sorry, ....Back to your brakes....I am building a track car and investigated the tilton option. These are great units, but will require major firewall modifications. For simplicity and reliability, I bought the S4 master cylinder and replaced the brake lines on my 1978 to a more conventional front/rear braking rather than the stock diagonal set up. The s4 master can handle the big red calipers up front and the s4 calipers in the rear. FYI. There was a blue 928 track car for sale in the Rennlist posts...For $17,000 I would buy that car rather than go through what I have for the past year. It is a lot of work!!

Yeah, but it's fun.
