SITM Packing list
This year's SITM will be my first "extended" journey in the 928 I am really looking forward to this. Now, I don't anticipate any problems, but just in case some should arise, I want to be as prepared as possible so that I can continue my journey despite Murphy and his book of laws. So I've been pulling a list together and was wonder what other people might be including on their list. I have a separate list for cleaning supplies and Nitrous-related accessories .
The List
Valentine 1
Small socket set
Larger Socket set
Torque Wrench
Breaker Bar
Allen wrenches
Adjustable wrenches
Pliars
Screwdrivers
Aluiminum Jack??
Tarp
Paper towels
Rubber gloves
Tire repair kit
Electrical Tape
Wire Connectors / Wire Stripper
5 Quarts of oil
1 Gallon Coolant (premixed)
Duct tape
Zip ties
JB Weld
Spare belts
Workshop manuals on CD (laptop too)

Depending on who you're rolling with... you may want to bring the Get Out of Jail Free card. Altho, hauling all that stuff is gonna kill your power to weight so you may not have to worry. lol Sorry... couldn't resist.

Lessee, In preparation for the trip, in the last couple of weeks ive:
Changed oil & filter
Retentioned T-belt
Tighten oil pan bolts. (fat lotta good that does)
New plugs, wires, rotor and cap
New tires
New rear droplinks
4 Wheel alignment
Wash and wax car
Pristine Cleaned all the leather.
Vacuum Interior
Insepected everything for damage.
This weekends projects to include
Autotrans service
Flush and fill coolant
Chase a few electrical gremlins.
New front brake pads
Replace 2 year old Super Blue with Super Gold
New fog light blubs.
Clean all the ground points.
If new resonator shows up, i'll replace that and finally install my test pipe.
New fuel filter
Replace gas tank vent hose.
I would have done these sooner, but i didnt want to lift the car prior to getting an alignment done.
Preventive maintainace is a good thing
I only cary a AAA card and a celll phone.

OK, maybe my list is overkill... Should I put my faith in the hands of the 928? I can pick up the AAA card and I have the Platnum Visa. I just would hate to have something happen and then... BAMN!
