Sagging Glove Box Door - Fix?
The glove box has the latch located on the left side, with no apparent mechanism to hold up the right side. As a result, when closed the right side of the door tends to hang down about 1 inch from the flush position.
I see there is a mini 'shock absorber' attached on the right side, but it does not hold that side of the door closed. I assume it's purpose is only to let the door open slowly when the latch is released.
Is there a spring or other mechanism that is missing on mine? Any suggestions on how to fix this annoying problem?

I had this same thing with my GTS. When you open the glovebox there is a black rectangular loop that actually latches the door to the glovebox. It can be adjusted to bring the door up flush. Mine was loose.

All glove boxes are adjustable. On your convertible it was a black piece of plastic in the top center of the glove box. On our GTS's it's on the outside of the left side of the glovebox door
There is a rectangular metal loop. This is what clips into the dash when you close the glovebox. It is adjustable. The screws that hold it in place are covered with a black rectangular cover on the inside.
I was able to move the loop down therefore forcing the glovebox dooor to close tighter.

I also just found that there is a bolt missing on the right hinge. I'll see what that will do.
Followup: There are three phillips head screws that attach the glovebox door to three hinges. My far right hinge was missing its screw. I found a matching bolt and used that to secure it to the hinge. Viola! After adjusting the door it closes flush.
Hope this helps.
BTW, I found a light attached to the glovebox door without any wires attached to it. Does your GTS have this?

Thanks, T! I'll take a look.
The latch closes fine, with the door being flush on the left side - it's the right side that hangs ajar. I'll check for missing fasteners, but last time I looked everything seemed to be in place.
My glovebox has a light inside the box (top right) - not on the door portion?

Tiburon nailed it - thanks, dude!
The right side hinge bolt was indeed missing. Also, noticed that there sure is a light located on the back side of the glove box door that had no connection to it. Hunted behind the fuse panel area and found an orphan wire pair with a double connector. Plugged it onto the light and now I have an illuminated passenger footwell area when the door is opened. The wire harness for this light is a bit short so it is easily pulled off inadvertently, would be my guess. Not sure what model year Porsche added this, but if your car does not have functioning passenger footwell illumination, take a look at the rear exterior of the glove box door.
An easy fix that resulted in a bonus interior light. Thanks again, T!

NP, I found the same wires dangling behind the fuse panel and connected them and replaced the bulb. I have PS footwell illumination, too.
