Default 18x10" Enkei RC5s for all four corners?

I'm pondering (again) wheels for the track machine, and I keep coming back to the Enkeis. By my rough calculations, even at 60mm of offset, these wheels won't clear the front suspension. I'm willing to roll the front fenders, but how much is too much, really? Am I just making this harder than it has to be?

I'm going to say no. The Enkeis are 10" with 60 mm offset. They'll be sticking outside the front fenders by about an inch. I've heard reports of folks fitting rear lightweight Carrera 5 spokes on the fronts (10" w/ 65mm offset) but I've never seen this in person.

Enkeis are going to be about $2500 a set aren't they? I think you can get custom three-piece CCW wheels for about that much. That way you can run custom offset 10" front and 11" rears.

A custom three-piece with the proper offsets is definitely the way to go.

Oh alright, I'll do it the right way...

I can't imagine why the RC5s would be so expensive though. It's hard to say whether or not 5mm of offset would make that much difference in a wheel that is already three inches wider than stock (about 76mm or 38mm in either direction). Honestly, I'd rather have the 996 wheels. But wider is better, and if I could have 10" fronts and 11" rears that would rock. Make them 17" and about $2000, poder coated black, and we got a deal!

Tim,
I may be selling my Forgeline wheels in about a month or so. 9.5X17 and 11X17.

How much will you be asking for them?

Really haven't decided yet. Need to source some large 18's for the track car first.
I know a new set goes for ~$2,400.00.

John, that is very convenient since I will have some spare cash for the track car in about a month or so. I'll PM you and we can talk seriously.
