(Warning: Many mixed metaphors, but it was fun to write )
I for one, also, don't care for it, but I TOTALY applaude Ken's innovative spirit. Innovation is the lifeblood of success and is the backbone of what the free market economy is based on. Sure 80% of his ideas may not work, but 18% will, and 2% will be grand slam home runs. Very few inventors/innovators get a touchdown their first time on the ice. But when they do, it's like Rusty Wallace taking the checkered flag at Monaco.
Ken- I raise my cup and salute you! Mazletof!

Painting the rubber bumpers unfortunately makes me think of Earl Schieb ...when they said they would paint any car for $99.95 they meant the whole car! everything but the glass and they even painted part of that Paint overspray or when they paint the mirror to door gaskets to me just looks so bad. The painted rubber bumpers just screams cheap paint job to me. Yet I drive the old very brown faded 1980 where Earl would be an improvement !

Well, they're not growing on me.
And technically, I reckon the angle is too steep to be functional.
It needs a flat underbody to promote fast air speed under the car; a wing to slow air over the top; then the diffusers both extend the separation (turbulence) zone, and create a venturi effect to create downforce.
I guess I'll have to start with a rear underbody panel first, and work from there.

Why not build an entire rear diffuser tray, and build it so it mounts to those bumperette mounts, and sell it as an aftermarket item? Could be a pretty simple bolt-on item...

Some considerations with a rear underbody tray:
~Rear approach angle
~Transaxle case cooling
~Muffler and exhaust pipe cooling
~Bendable forward mounts (if attached to the bumper)

I like the bumperettes. But then I used to drive Italian cars with ornamental bumpers that had the structural integrity of aluminum foil. I like stuff on my cars that has true purpose. Nice job on the fabrication BTW
