I thought it was fun. Beats putting a big-*** wing across the back.
Gotta crow a bit: I have the original Euro rear with no bumperettes at all.
Ken - Got two offset Woodruf keys this week. They look right. If the tensioner gasket shows up today I'll be into the cam tuning this weekend.

YES! I like that! Very innovative. Please reveal the materials and process. That is the best solution I have seen yet. I want to do that to my GTS!!! (Grand Prix White of course)

no way! porkens mods look much better, but then i have added a 'big *** wing' and 'cheap' door coverings to mine.
put them back on porken only extend them down further. i think what also is needed is a pair aft of the wheels, parralel to the inside edge to stop the confused air stream off of these. i think heat issues could easily be overcome by insulating surrounding areas and ensuring the created air space was ventilated, it cant be any worse than the engine bay. my only real worry is the weight if we use alloy.

I was wrong! I've got the retangular keys on my cams. (Coulda sworn...) However, the Mercedes Woodruff keys are the right width and length so after a few minutes at the grinder, the key fit fine. Just need to take maybe 2mm off the back.
Gotta bolt the accessories back but all looks good. Cam should be nuts on, or at least a lot better.

Nick,
Hear, hear!
I might draw up something like you describe from a large sheet and have it cut/bent. Someday.
...
The night before going to the dyno day, I painted some fake bumperettes on. Problem solved.
...
Glen,
That's sounds like it'd work, if there's enough material to duplicate the parallel keys.

Would there be any benefit to cutting the bumper cover to let ait pass through Intrinsicate's louvers? If so, the vertical fin-like part of Porken's diffusers would look good and be (more) functional.
Good luck Glen, I snapped of a screw extractor so it'll be at least another week for me.

I have to admit that these are faux vents! (To have real, functioning vents, one would have to do more surgery on the bumper.) I used a material I found at Lowe's. I think it was some kind of siding . It came in 8' lengths. I painted it satin black. The effect is quite convincing, even though I never intended it to be permanent. I would really like to have twin tailpipes either side of the license plate; but that's for another day!
