I should have on track video in a few weeks from my recent 79 purchase with MSDS headers and straight pipes. Unless your at 3/4 throttle or more, it's not very loud. Down the highway in 5th gear it's quiet uless you stomp on it. My 79 feels a lot faster than my 81 with the original CATS.
