Frame Dolly for 928?
I'm trying to figure out how I can use my two-car garage to work on one some of the time and store two most of the time. I've been looking for a fram dolly that uses the jack points for support, but what I've found is not inspiring.
I need to be able to work on the suspension without having to leave my other car out in the blazing Arizona sun for weeks while I track down parts.
Any help? Anyone using the one that has support points and a 1500lb per frame capacity?

How about wheel dollies? Harbor Freight carries them for $115 for a set. They should work well, if you have the wheels on the car.

Yeah, the only problem is when I don't have the wheels on the car.
It has often been my luck (especially when working on a 25 year old car) that something I don't want to break does and I am left with a disabled vehicle until parts arrive. Since it is the summer in Tucson, AZ I'd rather not have to park my other car in the driveway, covered or not.
Besides, I'm going to be tearing the suspension and brakes apart shortly and thus will not have wheels on it for some time.

Hmmm, I see. I think your only available option would be to have a frame stand custom made. It should be fairly simple to construct. The hardest part would be to find wheels with enough load bearing capability to hold the entire car safely.

If you're really going to do that much work, you might want to consider attaching jack stands to teh bottom of the frame, and have those sitting on the wheel dollies . Just a thought
