Temporary fix for a broken cable
I was frustrated not being able to drive my car while I get this Kickdown cable thing sorted out. Tonight I went to the local hardware store and spent a half hour or so putting this together as a temporary fix. I figure it might even get me to Precision Motorwerks if I cant get the job done myself. Might be something to throw in the glovebox as an emergency fix.

ouch! the strength of the electrical connector makes me nervous. Have you tried one of theose 90 degree small shelf holders. Should be at least 30 times stronger

This may be a better long term fix. I just bought this replacement cable from Lokar for my race car and I have the old one if you need it.

Thanks Mark....That might save me a big headache. I will be in touch. Tarek, I wasnt planning on driving it much or really at all with this setup. Was really looking for a temporary fix to get the car in for repair if I have to replace the cable assembly instead of towing it. I used a pretty heavy duty connector. Not the cheap flimsy ones. Really wanted a bolt with a hole in it but this setup had to suffice in a pinch.
