Default 18" GTS Style wheels FS

Several people have asked me about these wheels. They are 18" GTS/993 style wheels. They are on E-Bay BIN for $575.00. I plan to get a lighter and wider set soon. Here is the auction.

Yep I 've said it before....those Pac NW guys are the quickest bunch on the road, the track and on e-bay too.

Randy,
I didn't expect them to go that quick and I don't know about everyone else but I barely look past the first page. I don't like to bump my own for sale posts and e-bay exposes the items to other Porsche owners as well. Last time I sold a set of wheels a 944 guy bought them. I'll buy you a beer at Sharktoberfest.
How about a SC instead of new wheels? You'll get well over 425rwhp with the GTS with less than 6 PSI.

Randy,

Have you made any progress with your rear sub install?

I have all my audio gear together ($$$) and hope to get into it in the next 2 weeks.

I have all Alpine components with a 12" sub. Alpine recommends the enclosure to be 13" X 13" X 12.5". I was not counting on the 12.5 high (sub is 7"), so I will be checking around to see if I can lower the height and increase the L + W and still be OK with the recomended 0.85 ft/3 volume.

Cheers,
Mike

Good deals like this one rarely need to be 'bumped', Andy. No worries.

Hey, Mike - no success yet. I'm thinking I'd like to end up with an amp/sub setup like Mark Anderson has in his new GTS.

I had emailed the guy that built the enclosure that retained the spare tire - mentioned here a month back - his price is $1,000!

Keep us updated on your progress. I'm hoping for a cost effective solution.

I bought these wheels from Andy some 4 years ago, and other than look at them when I first got them, they been sitting in the boxes they came in.

Well I'm edging closer to getting my second 5 speed running so I'd thought I'd pull 'em out and get the straightened and refinished.

Sent them out last week to Velvet Touch Wheel Services, where they will clean them up and paint them Meteor Gray Metallic, and shod with BF KDW-2 in 255/35ZR18 fronts and 295/35ZR18.

He who saves something, has something

Fronts will be 225 or 235 or really 255?

I'm still looking for a set of these Mille Miglia 18" Cup 2 knockoffs if anyone knows of any. I swear they must be made of unobtanium.

Gretch had (still has?) the fronts for sale a while back, but I want either a complete set or rears only (to be paired with better offset OEM 17x8 or 17x9 Cup 2's). The 18x8.5 knockoff fronts have a less than optimal ET52 offset, IIRC. Rears are no problem.

I know a local guy who has a set on his 993, but I can't quite convince him of the need to upgrade and sell me his, darn it all.

8.5x18 ET52 fronts barely fit but I wouldn't use them. I think they are too far from ideal offset. In any case they are quite rare in Europe too.

Just took a call from the wheels service, no go on straightening them as they have lateral bends in the spokes, so scrap that idea, I s'pose that I could just get some more carrera III's and have them painted...
