Default OB update

I introduced my car in my first post. Still working on it but here is an update. The TB/WP done, all front engine oil seals, oil filters and air filter done, paint job finished but not yet buffed due to some unsatisfactory results, currently some nasty vibration just appeared rearward that could be the Torque Tube or Torque Convertor. Have an updated picture attached, has had new tires fitted since this was taken. The rims need polishing or cleaning but there are other things more urgent at the moment, like getting it back on the road. Note complete lack of bonnet (or hood) badge and wheel badges, also engine badge is missing.

No, it works fine, you just have to drive on the wrong side of the road

Check your motor and transmission mounts too.

Hmmmmm....

You've given me the impetus to check mine out. At speed my car rolls smooth, but i still can hear and feel thru my seat a vibration in the drivetrain thats not from solid motor mounts. Its most noticable above 80mph.

Is is possible to remove it without dropping the entire rear end?

From what I understand, no, the gearbox has to be backed off to remove it, but there may be other options, I am not a guru like some guys here. Your vibration above 80mph could more likely be rear wheel balance. The problem in my case was caused by the bearings moving along the shaft till they were both at one end, and then a quick spin up to redline and bingo, bent drive shaft and cracked bell housing. If you were having the same problem you wouldn't be getting to 80mph at all

The vibration i have got a little better when i installed new drop links on Monday (one broke). The tires are new and are correctly balanced. I think it may be time to look into transmission mounts and/or other bushings. I've replaced motor mounts but not transmission mounts. An alignment is needed.
