Default Still running on 4 cylinders

I have been trying to figure this thing out for too long now. To recap,I tripped the limp home mode while installing an intercooler to my blown 89 gt.I always get a green light on the clear diagnostic relay. To this point I have switched coils, switched plugs to the finals or the electronic control moduals ahead of the radiator, switched the electronic control moduals, switched the egts under the car, jumpered the relay for the limp home, installed the override relay to deleat the limp home, installed new spark plug wires, switched coil wires.I have also checked all of the fuel injection wires and installed different injectors.I feel comfident that both coils are good ,both ecm are good, both egt are good, all injectors are good, all injector wires are good, all spark plug wires are good.Does anyone know of someone in the Denver area that is well versed in these cars.I need a life again! Thanks in advance.

Have you switched distributor and rotors?

If you drop a cap on a hard surface it may crack (in a very hard-to-see way) and cause Limp-Home mode. BTDT.

When you switched the egt thermal sensors on the exh. manifolds, did you also test their leads back to the LH/EZX jungle for continuity? You may have perfect sensors - but no received signal.

I seem to remember there is a factory bulletin on problems with these sensors. There only has to be a few mV difference in their outputs to trigger that relay.

The bulletin in on the Tech CD set that Jim sells.

No, I didnt try that ,come to think of it I have read that they should be updated to later year egts along with a position change. If I was getting no signal could I have fried the main fuel or ignition computer? I wonder

No, there shouldn't be any risk of damaging the ECUs...
