Yes, it's called "The-Otherwise-Useless-Floor-Space-Between-The-Front-And-Back-Seats."

a la:

Mounted with the hardware and at the location where the child seat strap attaches to the front bulkhead of the left rear passenger seat. Hey, if you have a fire, you gotta get out of the car sooner or later......

I seem to recall that Devek sells one that replaces the cassette holder. Also, I thought David Roberts has one at 928 specialist that mounts by the E-Brake handle. Good Luck and I hope you never need one!

Thaddeus,

I have a Stable Energies mount that attached the fire extinguisher to the front of the passenger seat. It attaches to the seat itself, so that it moves with the seat. I had to do some minor modification to the mount as the shape of it had some interference with a bolt location, but that took all of about 3 minutes using a Dremel MotoTool and a cutoff wheel. The hardware is top-notch and allows you to get at the extinguisher very quick, should you or anyone else ever need it. Highly recommended.

Well that may be the case, But I didn't put it there for show. With the supercharger in place, it seemed like a reasonable precaution. It is out of the way and for the most part unseen. I don't have kids so it isn't taking space someone would use.

edit: removed sarcastic sounding advice.

Glad that made you chuckle Shane, but upon reflection, it was a bit harsh and so I have removed it.

Calling it rice wasn't really all that nice of a comment either. I had the same reaction as you, I just refrained from voicing it.

Don't the Brey-Krause ones fit 928s? I thought the seats were all pretty much the same throughout the range at "our" vintage?
