Throttle switch harness needed
When I removed this harness to powder coat my intakes, one of the connectors broke off. So I put an order in with Jeannie at 928 Specialists about 6-8 weeks ago, and she just found out it appears to be discontinued - bummer. No luck with any of the other Big 3.
Anyone have one of these? It is the harness that attaches on the passenger side of the throttle body and at the other end, connects to another connector towards the front of the engine. It's only about 8-12 inches long. The PET number is 928-607-115-00.
It's getting too nice outside to have my shark stuck on blocks in the garage all because of a single wire harness.

I had my injectors cleaned and tested.
Since one of my ínjector connectors were missing the rubber gasket inside I asked the company doing the service if they had one that I could buy.
When picking up the injectors they gave me two loose connectors for free,
one was AMP and one was Bosch.
The AMP version was two pin and identical to the current injector connectors with one difference, the locking was of a more modern spring type.
You should be able to buy these AMP connectors loose, also the three pin version which if I remember right is used on the trottle switch.
I think there was a thread not to long ago with links to places on E-bay were you can buy these connectors and also rubber boots for them.
Edit:Found the link
AMP connectors link
Good luck/Peter

Terrence,
Unfortunately, I don't have the connector (I sent it to Dave Roberts to see if he can fix it). If I find another, I'll let him keep it for anyone else who needs it.
The PET number IS for this wire - if you look closely at the diagram, it points only to the small wire in the front.
Peter,
I think the thread you're referring to is discussion about the connectors for the fuel injectors (mine are ok). Is there a discussion about the throttle switch harness? If I can't find a harness, then the connector companies in the thread look like they have ones I could splice in.
Thanks everyone - but still looking!

Hi Eric,
you are right, the thread is originally about injector side.
But the links in the thread goes to a company that seems to have the needed version that broke for you.
It may be your only option since a harness will be hard to find.
Cheers/Peter

928 Specialists (where my harness is currently being evaluated by Dave Roberts) is closed for inventory this week, so I'll send an email to them to see if they can post a photo.
Final follow up note on the harness. I received a lot of feedback on the molded connector end being very brittle on any of the original harnesses. Since the harness has recently been discontinued, I decided to make my own connection by splicing in a basic GM 3-pole connector from Pep Boys. Actually was very easy and now I don't have to worry about the connector falling apart later.
BTW, in my search for this harness (which retailed for $50 new from Porsche before it was d/c'd), Automobile Atlanta had one in stock and was nice enough to offer it to me for $250. How nice and thoughtful of them. They certainly won't ever get my business, and I hope no one else from Rennlist.
