Body Steel Thickness?
#3
Thats a damn good question Ken. I would think the fram parts are heavier then the steel on say the trays and the rear fenders.

Not a trick question - only the doors, front fenders and hood are aluminum. I haven't got the calipers out to measure, but I am particularly interested in the skin thickness of the roof and rear fenders, but to your point Brendan, I would be very interested in the rest of the body.

The roof is thinner then the rear fenders I think. Don't ask how I know and how long it too me to straighten out MY mistake on the roof of the 78.
The whole car is somewhat.... Maleable. It's difficult to describe.

RobRoy... on my '84, EG: (in mm)
underside of hatch, 1.2
rear body, 1.6-1.7
These figures include layers of (galvenizing)zinc
and paint, don't forget.
G'luck.
