Hi,
Anyone know if there is a UK / EU distributor network for autorotor superchargers? I've tried a thorough search and can't find a link anywhere. Might help get around the 17.5 % vat we have to pay on personal imports from outside EU. Do autorotor supply direct?
Ta very much

Hello Bert.
You might want to check out www.enem.se This is the Autorotor and Lysholm dealer in Sweden, a EU country...just in case You did not know.

Thanks Geir,
Now can you teach us all Swedish in order that we don't end up buying a supercharger for a Hillman Imp??
But seriously if someone in the US would be prepared to send a supercharger kit to the UK registered as a REBUILD
- we wouldn't have to pay the 17 1/2%VAT RIGHT or WRONG??
I would be prepared to spend the hard earned on a supercharger but no way 17 1/2% to the dear old taxman for NO DAMN GOOD REASON !

Consider yourself lucky, Geir and myself will have to pay 24%VAT... Yes I believe if the parts are "used" you don't have to pay VAT. I know it is common practice to rub oil and dirt all over new parts to make them look used before importing them! Maybe the SC vendors could offer this as a service for foreign customers?

Bert.
Another option is the "gift" from a dear old friend for Your or Your wife's birthday....I'm sure the "gift" does not cost that much to begin with. Even GB should have a no tax limit on gifts from abroad.
Enem also list a phonenumber.

But hey, you can easily fit a supercharger in a suitcase.

Surely if Sweden is in the EU (apologies if not) and autorotors are produced in Sweden, then if applicable taxes have been paid at source i shouldn't get stung again?
As for tax on gifts - we are allowed £36.00 and then taxes apply (trust me i've been stung once for 17.5% plus £10.00 fee, if you've an answer Martin........
I considered eaton, but having spent an age reading up the various items i'd rather go for autorotor, the thought of paying £1000.00 in vat annoys me.
