Default Is the clutch "release" bearing the same thing as a "throw-out" bearing?

I'm doing some research on a possible clutch problem and hear release bearing often. Just need to know if this is the same as a clutch throw-out bearing. I don't see a part called a release bearing on any web part sites. thanks.

Yes same part the clutch arm (fork) pulls on the bearing which pulls the pressure plate away from the fly wheel and allows the friction discs and drive shaft to STOP spinning with the engine. Since the pressure plate is still turning with the engine but the clutch arm never turns you need a bearing to allow movement where one attaches to the other.
