Default Painted S4 Intake!!!!

After admiring Seth's painted intake manifold (Jim's too) I figured it was worth a try... Well worth the $5.55 investment in two paint pens at Walmart...I think it looks great!

Ice, you did not remove it to paint it? and come again with what you used? Paint Pens? What about the heat?

Nope just cleaned it really good and let it dry for about 30 minutes. Others have used "testors" pens with good results...the pens I used were "hunt" medium tip opaque paint marker $2.57 at your local walmart. It is not perfect if you look at it really closely, but I guess I could wet sand and wax if I wanted a super smooth finish...but its good enough for now. The first coat was harder to put on, it didn't want to "stick", but it did...the later coats went on no problem and look much better. I figure the paint will dry out and crack a bit over time due to the heat, so you just sand it (if neccesary) and paint it again? If this holds up decent I will try to match the silver and touch up a couple flaking spots next!

Plus the manifold will disappear when the S/C comes anyway, just a stop-gap measure!
