I have a friend in British Columbia looking to replace the motor in their 1989 and I am wondering if a US model engine is an option. Does anyone know if we are talking about an identical engine. Would the GT engine work? Anyone?

Nuck...........if you search the forum you'll find many threads on identifying 928 through their VINs. My car was imported into Canada from the factory and has a US designation in its VIN. I believe the 32 valve engine block external dimensions to be identical US and ROW........S4, GT and GTS. The differences are internal piston/ bore size, cylinder heads etc, etc.
