Please help! I am scared!!! (coolant in engine oil)

No the car haven't started yet. It had problems with a fuel injection. Now, I think I fixed the fuel injection problems, so I was getting ready to start it and decided to chenge the coolant and oil. What happened next we know. I got the car last summer, and tried to start it. It cought for a second, but then shutted down. It didn't start since then, so I started working on fuel injection.
I am so paranoid about the other parts which can go bad, becouse I can buy 70000 mile engine block in a very good condition. If I will be able to get a garage, (about which I will know in two weeks), I might try to do a rebuilt(not a rebuilt but change the block). I will try turning engine by hand and then with a starter tomorrow. I hope it will go well.
If I will change the block, what do I need to change with it(I mean like gaskets, things which are only usable once)?

OK so had you checked the oil level and coolant level before ? when it briefly fired last summer and shut down would the engine then crank turn over on the starter motor (WHa WHa WHA) after that ? Will it now turn over on the starter motor with spark plugs out ?? Have you checked the compression ?

if the block is cracked and you want to rebuild with another block you will need a full gasket set and rings for sure.. and you should add a tb/wp kit into the equation.. and plan on breaking at least a couple bolts somewhere along the way...

Yes, I did check the oil level and coolant level. Oil was dirty, but I didn't see any water on the dipstick. Coolant was as I said before some brownish liquid. Engine did turn over freely by starter. It didn't work becouse all my injectors were fried. Now I have CIS. I tried to turn it over with a wrench, but I didn't have 22mm head. I will do that tomorrow and write about the results. I didn't check the compression.
To Rixter:
Why will I need rings? What do you mean about gasket set? Is that oil pan gasket, head gaskets, bunch of o-rings. I know I will need fron cranck mount(gasket) and rear cranck mount(gasket). I know that I will ned a bunch of new tools (adapter for removal of engine, engine holder, engine support, crank oil seal extractor (rear and front), puller spindle, internal extractor, piston ring pliers, piston ring compressor). Can I replace some of those tools with more regular ones which I can get from a shop or something?

When I had coolant in the oil twice from a block problem, there was never any H20 apparent on the dipstick. Where I did find H20 accumulation, was in the breather hoses. I was able to see the fluid in the cylinder through the spark plug hole with a flash light with that cylinder in a BDC position. Have you ever rebuilt an engine before? Metric micrometers, bore gauges and a host of sometimes expensive tools (and parts) are required to do it correctly. It can be done with most common rebuilding tools and rent or borrow the ones you don't have. The shop manuals are a must. You can do it with a lot of patience and persistence. Get the right diagnosis, You may have to tear it down to even do that. Then you can plan a rebuild strategy.
