Anyone else have tomorrow off?
I'm dying to put some miles on the 928, and would love some company. The wife is taking the kids to a friend's house, so it's play-time! If Mark (SHARKS) is around, it might be fun to take a trip over to his palacial estate to check out the new ride! Or we can go over to see BigDave's engine progess. What do you say? Plan B for me is to go and get the alingment done.
Plan C, is to polish the car.

Sorry, I don't have the day off but I'd join you if I did. Actually if my shark was on the road, I'd take the day off.
It'll be another month or so before the new engine is in and all the WYAI is done.

I'll be off at noon tomorrow, but I'm obviously no where near ready to drive. I am, at least, in the re-assembly stage. All cleaning is done aside from the engine bay. I plan on pushing the car out of the garage and powerwashing the bay if it's warm on Saturday. Then I do the motor mounts and start putting things back in.

Well... I just happen to be in Detroit this week in the 78. Sure glad I had snow tires on yesterday. I've got the tail end of an upgrade to babysit, then I'm on the road at noonish maybe. Wanna see how fast we can get to Virginia? lol It's 550 miles one way, best time so far is 7hrs. If they'd lift the speed limits I'm pretty sure we could get in done in half that time. Having a party sat nite... cocktails, 9 ball, home cooked spaghetti and meatballs. You could romp home on Sunday. Com'n Andy... put some real miles on your beast.

Andrew, tomorrow morning I am taking all three boys out to the glider field, and on the way back stop at the cottage that we are thinking about buying (wife is working nights this week so she can sleep until noon). I have to be back here by 12:30 as the real estate guy is coming over at 1pm for us to sign the purchase agreement. Not sure how long the real estate guy will be her but you can call my cell and maybe we can meet you in Hell (Michigan that is) around 11am. You won't want to come over to the house until the mud (not dirt) roads dry out a bit. You will spend hours cleaning those shiny white wheel wells after driving 2 miles on them from the paved roads.

Mike - My wife might have something to say about it. Sounds fun though. Perhaps in May, wife and kids will be in Japan. I'll be a bachelor again!
