... But the most rewarding 928 wrenching experience i have had! After a week long effort of epic proportions. My 86.5 is back together with new motor mounts, Tie rods, rack boots, Bilstein/Eibachs, and clean suspension + fender liner bits, Red painted rotor hats ....ETC. ETC...
Everything took about a week, working a few hours a night after work and two long Saturdays + cleaning everything i put my hands on. The ride height is set, car aligned, and Fikse FM-10's back on. Nothing left but the BWWWWaaahhhhh. My motor mounts were so bad the u-shaped bracket had actually chaffed through the outter rubber on the mount and was into the metal backing inside the mount itself. Man what a difference. Now i am just waiting for the parts to do my second timing belt job on the car, I am right at 40K miles since spring of 2001. SITM this year?? Maybe so.

Temps are supposed to be near 50 here this weekend. I may abandon engine work and get under the car to do the mounts. I can't wait to get back on the road!!!!

On that note I have to think about the traveling those links I got from you must have done. Prof. Ott makes them in NW Oregon and ships them to DR in NC. You buy them and DR ships them to you in LA. You change your mind and sell them to me and ship them all the way north to Dutch Harbor. In May I'll turn 'em around and ship them to WA for the install onto Helmut. Talk about some frequent flyer miles!!

Actually Shane, I got the rears from Louie and the fronts from Lou (onebad928s) in New York. I assume the fronts had made their rounds. The rears were new.
