Hey, when all you guys are oogling and drooling over Seth's gleaming shrine this weekend, every once in a while give a short glance over into the drab corner of the workshop where I will be quietly installing my non-descript raw metal SC probably all by myself. I will try not to look too jealous.
Seriously, that is super sharp looking. It's a lot of work to polish objects shaped like this. It requires all kinds of odd shaped polishing tapers to get into the nooks and crannies.
This is going to be some weekend!

This supercharging stuff just keeps getting better and better. In a year or so when I am ready, it is going to be so easy and so beautiful looking.....
I couldn't beleive how great Tony's install looked (used it as a PC background for months) but this one should be very comparable.
Great Work Andy on keeping these moving along.

Perry - actually I'm hoping for a look that seems to blend in, so raw aluminum should work well. Seth's will be a work of art, like Tony's. Mine will hardly get noticed - maybe I can sneak it by the smog guys.

Thanks folks. I'm having fun so far. I got the idea about polishing it all from some hot rod sites as well as seeing a bunch of corvette installs that were polished. Andy came up with the idea of the polished fuel rails. Next thing to make show quality is the air intake from the filter back. Perhaps some kind of custom air intake that looks more factory. I've powdercoated in gloss black everything that surrounds the blower to keep a stock/show appearance them of polished in the center and black around it. the only peice that doesn't quite match yet is the flexible air intake tube. Any ideas out there??

Three Wheelin'
It is absolutely gorgeous. I always said to myself that I didn't really care what my engine compartment looked like, because I wanted the hood down rather than up as much of the time as possible. I'm starting to reconsider that position--it really is stunning. I'm a bit jealous--my autorotor is black and my manifold is bumpy aluminum. Plain Jane. Seth, that was money VERY well spent.

WOW!! very NICE!
Just makes sure whomever does the polishing that they tape up the inlets on the SC. The fine abrasive polish that they use wont agree with the tight tolerences of the rotors in side!
