Three Wheelin'
Looks good, money sent!
Since it's a little confusing, I would change your listed email address ' cams AT mrtubby DOT net' which is a non-standard format, to the real thing (..cams@mrtubby.net) as you have it listed on page 1 of your excellent manual.

Thanks, y'all!
I will change my email, I was paranoid about spam-bots.
BTW, writing manuals (copywriting as they say in the trade ) is a beeyatch, the 16V manual took quite a while: (16V32VGearSetup2_0.pdf 513KB)
I will be mostly away from my computer for the next few days, so please be patient if I don't respond to PM's right away!

So...does the ** part mean that someone doing a top-end rebuild (cough cough) still needs to use the factory gauges to time the valves? Probably an obvious answer, but I still wanted to ask.

Mark,
All 20 in this batch were bent correctly this time. It cost more, but the shop spent more time on setup, and I added features to help them do it right.
...
Dave,
I would use the factory method, for a big job like that, mostly for a sanity check, in case the cams were not ground perfectly, in relation to the woodruff key. From there you could go ahead and play around with timing with the Pointer.
The dial indicator method is really not that difficult, after you figure out how to get a consistent zero.
928 Specialists lists the factory adapter tool (000.721.923.20 - which you screw into your Harbor Freight dial indicator), for only $7! Or it's easy enough to make one.

James,
The 16V Adjustable Gear Conversion is $ (includes shipping/PayPal fees).
As of this writing, I have only enough parts to make (3) of them, and I don't plan on having any more of the setup tools cut/bent anytime soon.

Dave,
Sorry, I've been ******* you! (Well, you would have had a set a long time ago, if the machine shop didn't go wild on one of the hubs...)
Anyhu, your kit is ready to go - well, as soon as I have the new hubs machined.

Heinrich,
I finally got your return - it went to the wrong address! You have already been included in the sold tally above.
