Anyone has Dupont Registry 4/93 issue? It has my car featured in it. The article was on the 928s4vr.com website, but the link is now disabled.

Thanks in Advance

Thanks Stan. I don't think I had the facts straight when I first posted. The ad was in Dupont Registry issue 4/93, and it is on Jorg7's web site http://sis125.berkeley.edu/928.html Go to 928 stuff...select Ads. It is the second to last ad from the bottom...

As for the article itself, I cannot confirm where it was published, but I'm certain that it was scanned and posted on the 928s4vr site. Just not sure of the source. Could well be the same issue of Dupont Registry (?)

Do you recall where on the 928S4vr.com website the link was? That is what I could fix.

The mechanical modifications are consistent with the reputation of the gentleman you're refrring to. BUT, it is a very clean, low milage (under 2000 km) '85 euro, and it shows/smells/drives it. It sat for a long time, and I'm having to address basic dryness issues caused by inactivity. Overall, considered in immaculate shape. Just got new wheels and tires for it, and now looking for best shock/spring choice.

I have some pretty wild ideas for further modifications to it. Bodywork as well as possibly intercooled twin turbos if Barry scores a success. what do I have lose? the original stock look?

Stan,

I couldn't figure out where on the 928s4vr.com site it used to be Sorry I can't be more helpful, and I appreciate your help. If anyone turns up with the original article, it would save a lot of aggravation looking for it online.

Thanks again

Did you talk to your landlord about Bud?

Rixster,

I'm looking for pics...I don't think I have good pics of the Jacquemond, which is really the most handsome of them all... I've rarely washed it or taken pictures of it. If I still can't find any, I'll take some this weekend... stay tuned

Tom,
Clarification: '85 euro is completely unmolested (for now)...and clean....except for missing belly pan...

Hey Dr Mohr!
Bud should be fine company here. Only thing is, he's not allowed on the beach, so it's your call

Not sure which car the 5spd will be going into yet. Projects...Projects...Decisions....Decisions

Was this the car that was built for a young Asian fellow and the deal went "south" rather quickly? Rumored to be the most expensive 928 ever "built" in the world? I am almost certain there is story behind this car and how it came to be...and how it still remained.

Anyone have the details? (hope I am not opening a deadly can of worms here!)

Tarek-

Though I appreciate your work with the 928's, and I think the camera mounted on the front clip is cool...I have to ask you:

Are you really responsible for the car pictured?

Everyone is different. We all have different tastes, and desires. And for me, that car that you've pictured is WAY overdone! If offered my stock S2 or that car, I'd take mine in a heartbeat.

But that's just my taste, sorry.

I didn't know you were into the "body kit" thing; Frankly, I wouldn't mind the S4 lower body appliques on my S2, since they make the car look more substantial. And subtly rolled fenders

[Subtle is everything for me, in cars, and design in general-]

to fit really wide tires. But beyond that, I'd not do it.

-I hope you make some serious coin if you're selling it!

N!
