Default Black GTS is here

The ALL black (and I mean all black) GTS arrived today. Very exciting. In my opinion this thing is one of the baddest 928s I've seen. The all black looks really mean....

Having given it the once over, it does need some TLC. Paint is in desperate need of some attention, there is a crease under the left rear side marker, there is a ding in the drip rail trim on the right side A pillar, there is a bad spot in the paint on the left front fender, left front carpet needs to be replaced, cassette storage lid needs to be replaced, drivers bolster has a little wear, the black wheels need to be powder coated, it's got a huge stereo that needs to go, the intake and cam covers need to be refinished and the interior is really dirty.

Other than that, it's beautiful and its loaded with options! Leather EVERYWHERE! Wood EVERYWHERE! One really unusual option I have never seen on any 928 is a rear window washer nozzle. It looks like a squirter for the windshield mounted on the upper left area on the hatch just above the rear window trim. You can kinda see it in the first and last picture. I'll get a pic tomorrow.

It's going to get some TLC and then will become my SO's daily driver (one of them anyway). I'm a lucky man!

Time for a pic switch in your signature.

This is an AT GTS? (As in the SO wanted an AT not a 5-speed? Or did I miss something?)

How about some pics of the interior?

The rear window washer is an Exclusive option (XR7).

It's a 1995 and has an automatic (Dave, you're right that's why we sold the 93)) and the 5th to the last GTS brought to NA # 132 of 137. There are 16 or 17 option codes, I'll post the list tomorrow along with more pics. All is factory done including the wheels except the phone and the tacky cup holder (already gone). The only wood piece that might not be factory are the bezels around the speakers althought the wood does match perfectly.

Here's an interior pic.

Any idea where the rear squirter pump is? Where's the switch? Pics, please!

Have no idea. I'll be learning about this car over the next couple months. I'll get more pics tomorrow.

I'm thinkin you are correct. Since I do not have the window sticker its hard to tell. Will be ordering a COA though, hope that will help.

Chuck,

You never cease to amaze me. Where do you find these cars? I guess when you run the 928 Registry, you naturally get first dibs. How many miles?

Congratulations!

I know you like to keep your cars prety stock, but I think that thing would look BAD *** if you tinted the windows! Stealth doesn't even begine to describe it. Very cool. Congrats.

Actually, I found this one on autotrader.com. Lotsa people trying to buy this one out from under me! I was the first caller and bought the car right away. I have been lusting after this one since I first saw it 5 years ago when the original owner placed an ad on autotrader. Believe it or not, I see very few GTSs as a result of the 928 Registry you guys don't see.

EDIT: Car has 54k miles.

I'm planning on tinting the windows(you guys that know me know that I'm really stepping out on this one). They were once tinted and all the stickers on the rear quarter windows are gone anyway..........

I'm in shock you would consider it, and I don't know you.

You just have to find someone that really knows what they are doing! My rear window is done in one piece as well as my rear quarters. The 928 is really not very hard to tint. Depending on your state laws, I would put 20% on the rear window with 35% down the sides. It will be dark but have a factory color to it..

It's a beautiful car and will look even better once you tint it. It needs tinted, was the first thing I thought when I saw it.

Congrats on a beautiful find!
