I don't see why the 83 is so much higher than the 86. It has the same brakes, suspension, and tires(size), but less weight.

Many years ago John Z Delorean was raising money via private placement sales to wealthy investors ...the dog and pony show at the country club featured John and a video clip of his creation driving in the mountains plus a "car " on display . I of course looked UNDER the "car" and discovered it had no drive train . When I watched the video they were only showing it going DOWNHILL and yes the investors lost everything !
