If you change the wiring harnesses with those come with a 32 valve engine, you will have everything the 32 Valve engine would need on the harness side. You just need to have something for all the harness wires to plug into! That will take some time and a lot of staring at wiring diagrams.
Yes, it can be done, it has been done. It just isn't a simple task. The ideal thing to have is a 32 valve donor car for the source of parts. Otherwise, going the supercharge route would be much easier.

Well.
Looking at the options, I think I'll wait to see what Andy can come up with as far as the twin screw,16v, and then compare that to Motorsports SC. It is probably not that easy to come across a 32v engine here anyway...on the other hand, Germany is not that far away.
I do offcourse appreciate all the useful information....this site is like the learning channel, everyday is an educating day.

Geir,
I have a strong feeling that Andy's Twin Screw kit will be based on a L-jet 16V. In the US, only 78-79 models had K-jetronic so I believe the biggest market is for the L-Jet cars. Only Andy can answer this, of course!

Some of your accelleration (or lack there of) problem would be the gearing of the three speed auto. Maybe you could consider a four speed auto? May be simpler than trying to swap the 3spd for a manual, chenging pedal box, etc...

Asterix.
When I had my 3 speed auto rebuilt some time ago, I was told that a four speed auto would not fit without some major rebuilding.
