So long, and thanks for all the help!
Hi Folks,
As much as I have enjoyed having my 928, and being with you on the Rennlist, the time came to sell my 928.
I'm sure the new owner will continue taking care of the car, and will probably check in on the list in a few days or so.
My thanks go to everyone on the list for all of the help and knowledge.
May the BWAAAAAAAAAH be with you, always.
Cheers,
Peter

Thanks Norm, glad to know I can come back later. Right now I have a different monkey on my back - the airplane needs new parts, and with the help of the FAA, those parts make the 928 parts and labor look cheap.
Cheers,
Peter

What kind of plane?
Id love to own one as well, but its that exact same thing that scares me off as well.
hanger fees, insurance, gas, mtc....
Flys..floats or F... Well, never mind. Its cheaper to rent it.
Nice color car BTW, that picture was taken at the best angle for this car IMHO

*sigh* Yeah, that was a good picture. I had the luck to snap it just after a detailing...took it up to the roof of the work parking lot et voila!
Airplane? It's a Grumman Cheetah. The Grummans are rather well handling, similar to Porsches. Mine is more like the lesser powered beasts, only having 150hp. I've heard of some with 280hp, though. They aren't that expensive to purchase - mine is going for $40K to $60K. Also insurance is only around $1k, maintenance around $2k, tie down is $75/month.
As long as I didn't want to fly through clouds I was fine, but now the problem is that I need to add in instruments to make it IFR capable. Probably on the order of $30K to $40K. Still not sure if it is worth upgrading the airplane or buying a different one. However, that is for a different forum.
I'll still be lurking here for a while...can't get rid of me that easily.
Cheers,
Peter

Hi Randy,
Yes, it was an 88, silver with black interior. No, I didn't get my asking price. :-\ However, I'm not at all suprrised, considering the glut on Ebay these days.
Cheers,
Peter
