My battery was going dead within a few days after charge. I placed an amp. meter in series with the battery and found the car pulling 1.8 amps. I could also hear a clicking noise from under the drivers seat. Turns out the window module was staying energized. Unplugged it and the current dropped to 50 Milli amps. (normal/acceptable). SO....... the window module is supposed to stay energized until a door is opened (windows operate until a door is opened). What is confusing and I can only speculate on is the lights WOULD come on when you open a door and the window WOULD stop working when the door was opened but the window module would never de-energize. I checked resistance to ground on the leg of the window module that causes it to de-energize when a ground is applied and resistance was very high (far from a good ground) by turning the "door open" switches I was able to rub off some of the oxidization on the contacts and get a better ground after which the module WOULD de-enegize and my current draw dropped to 50 MA.
My only conclusion is the interior light module MUST simply take a lesser ground to disengage than the window module.
Hope this helps someone!
or if you have better knowledge of this circuit please feel free to chime in.
I think I read a thread about current draw being 40 MA or less on ALL 928's. Looks like you have at least 10 to go. Get back out there and start Fluking.
