Default Motor Mounts

I would just like to confirm that the mounts I am going to order the correct item :

Anchor 2698 Mounts for my 79.

I intend to buy from Rock Auto.

Hey Sean!

The 79' uses solid rubber mounts with a dampner. You cannot use the Anchor mounts unless you want to change the front crossmember also. The Anchor (Ford style) motor mounts are a direct (almost) swap for later cars that use the hydraulic mounts. The earlier ones are not compatible.

I think you have the solid mounts on your with a spring.

Yep, Anchor are a no go on an OB. I bought mine from one of the Big 3. Just a paltry $145.00 each. Made a huge difference over the old separated ones. Worth $300.00? That's another thread.......
