Cheap Rolex?

-I can hook you up with these folks! Hong Kong is full of them. About $50 for a Casio movement/fake Rolex body and you're there dude! Most are really good fakes- the printing on the dial is good, and the watch has the "sweep" second hand. Really, the only way to tell the $50 watch from the $9000 real version is the glow-in-the-dark which is green instead of the Rolex-patented white.

I made X-mas presents of a pair of these watches. For $80 spent, I bought a fake Rolex for my dad and a fake TAG for my brother.

Stewed okra illegal in Berkely? Tom...I thought everything BUT stewed vegetables was illegal in Berkely!

Hi Tom,
On the merge collector into the single 3.5" pipe, the three runs made 326.4, 323.8, and 322.1 rwhp at 6200 rpm. The torque was 308 @ 3200, 302 @ 4200 and 290 @ 5000.

With the X pipe/and 2.5" dual rear exhaust, the 6200 rwhp was 326.1, 323.4 and 323.4. The torque at 3200 was 311, 308 @ 4200 and 295 @ 5000.

Very slight difference between the two configurations. In reviewing the dyno sheets I noticed an interesting fact. Both exhaust configurations performed a little better with mufflers. The single pipe lost about 10 hp without a muffler and the dual pipes lost about 6 hp.

Louie that is very interesting. What mufflers are we talking about? Surely not the honker stock rear? Mine pings with the X and rear muffler as you may remember, and a good friend's does also.

Ron's 89 GT with Msds, X ,2 1/2 pipes twin megaflow mufflers AND adj fuel press (plus about 5 psi) the previous 4,000 rpm was 250 FT lbs adding the MSDS it became about 312 ft lbs. The max HP was at about 6,000 RPM and was 318.7 up from 298.1 ....tested 08/24-04. About three weeks ago at Willow Springs he pounded out #2 rod bearing and shut it down just in time to avoid breaking a rod and destroying the engine. It is now all apart and will get the new oiling path drilled to help avoid the 2/6 oil starvation issue.

It destroyed the rod bearing ,overheated the rod and grooved /damaged the crankshaft ...so he gets a good used crank, used rod ,and new bearings ;the rest of the motor is fine. It will need balancing and new gaskets ,it gives Ron something to do at home in his garage at night

Hey Gerry, I took a few measurements, and pics today on my Dr. Gas X-pipe. The center of the X is 14" back from the collector flanges. It could actually stand to be a little closer, like between 10 and 12". Hopefully these pics will come through. Unfortunately, they're not the greatest, as I had the rear jacked up for other work, not the front.

Hi H,
The X and 2.5" duals had the bullet brand 4"x8"x16" mufflers and the 3.5" single had a Magneflow muffler. Sounds like you could use a bit more fuel pressure to cure the pinging. Did you by any chance have after market chips?

Louie
