Morbid question, but it was on my mind. So has anyone ever been killed in a 928 in a car accident? On track?

Of the 50,000 928's how many are totalled and gone? Anyone know?

Yes...

Amanda Carrington died in a red 928 (probably S4). Not as morbid as you think because this was a character on "Dynasty" played by Catherine Oxenberg. I saw the scene when they did the Dynasty behind the scenes thing which was aired recently.

I have only heard of one person killed in a wreck that was a passenger. They were traveling down the freeway at night and a Honda heading their way was on the wrong side of the freeway and they hit head on. The car was an OB with no air bags. It was a husband and wife. She was the passenger and was killed. Not sure if she was wearing a seatbelt. Quite unfortunate, although he feels the car actually saved his own life. He is a big believer in these cars still.

There's a picture of a bullet-ridden 928 out there somewhere. Not sure of the story behind the picture, but I'm guessing whatever happened was serious.

After buying over 500 928's for parts (most of them wrecked) we have yet to get a car that had blood anywhere and none looked like anyone would have been seriously injured. It has always gave me a feeling of saftey.

This may be a good strategy to get more track time in my explanation to my wife. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

And yes, that's my totalled '86. Sitting under a tarp in the back lot of a shop right now.

I should have been the other night. I was cut off so I nailed my breaks and swerved to the left. I was on loose sand from snow days before. Butt end slid out and I went head first into a concrete wall at a good clip. Good news is I walked away without a scratch and 11K to get my car fixed. I need a new hood, bumper, front spoiler, bumper reinforcement, fog lights, drivers side front fender and a paint job.

She WILL live again. I will not let her die.

Around early 2000 in Montreal Canada a lawyer who was working for the Hells Angels biker gang was found dead in the back of his 928 GTS. The only info in the paper on the Porsche was "928 GTS" so it could have been a earlier model.

I've also heard stories of a couple killed near Ann Arbor when their 928 went airborn and hit a tree sideways, but I haven't been able to confirm it.
