Default Brake Bleeding

I recently had to install a new clutch master, and in the process I had to remove my brake master. I've installed everything and and bled the brake system twice (pressure bleed and old pedal down/up method). The pedal is firm but my "brake pressure" warning keeps coming on. The brake master is only 6 months old and all fittings are tight. Any tricks to bleeding the brakes? Am I missing something here?

Have you driven it and confirmed that the brake system is working right?

If so then I'd move on to the brake light switches themselves. There are two on the master that need to switch in concert. If either fires without the other you'll get the blinking "!" and brake pressure warning light. Lots of threads on this.

I've had some problems getting the brakes bled right due to using "speed bleeders." These have a little valve inside them and sometimes will not open if there's too much air in the system. Work fine for a regular bleed, but don't open at all if the pressure is too low.

Doesn't this require a "reset" involving a ground strap disconnect for a few(5-10) minutes?

Yes, the ground strap must be removed to reset.

I think I've corrected the problem. I made an adjustment to the rod connected to the pedal after I noticed the rear brakes slightly dragging. No more warning light so far.

Problem solved. It appears that a pedal rod adjustment was all that was needed.
