I was getting all fired up for you too!!
Oh well, try and break in the 1:24s, and you will be lucky. remember, the SpeedTouring cars. (the barometer for which i judge my times) ran 2:23-4s in the race. also, these are the same guys that run 2:27 at road America. so, i think it will be pretty tough for us to compete with their times at a fast track like sebring. I run about their same times at Laguna. (at least their top 10 times) but, for some reason, they smoke at the real fast stuff and the real slow stuff too!! (ie RA and Limerock/sears). go figure.
Looks like even a 2:27 is still a fast time there!
we will see in a week!!
Mk
submit the bets and predictions!! im sticking with 2:24 to 2:27 for the 5 liter boys on DOTs. (minus 2 seconds on slicks)

Not hard to predict based on past GT2S from Sebring.
The fastest GT2S car pulled a 2:22.
I qualified for the Enduro at 2:26, so I "fell" in the range.
There is another 2 seconds if I had more seat time at that track.
Dave's times were off due to very old tires.

You really cant use just "GT2S" as anderson on DOTs would be GT2S. better to guage of prior SpeedWC touring cars (and ive run with at least 10 of them) or, the Cup cars! I figure if you are running in the back 25% of the cup cars, you are doing pretty well.
I think the best guage has to be the Speed touring cars. they are pro prepared, 2700lbs with driver and usually 270hp at the rears with good drivers, and the top 5 are usually great drivers!.
did you see that turbo i was talking about Bonarrosa?
"fell" in the range i predicted. (ie 2:24 to 2:27) good job.
However, i think your predicted 2:20 or better would be a tall order there!!
old tires for David??? did you see andersons from Las Vegas. now, those are old tires!!
I think your right though, seat time at fast tracks like sebring and road america is essential. (at least a bunch of clean laps, which is hard to do when the cup cars keep crashing into each other!!)

Cup cars=crash!
Cup car = lost of $$ and not a lot of talent in a few of them.
I have video of one that pushed me off he track mid way through the race. I actually dropped two wheels off so he wouldn't hit me! Gave him all the room he should have needed. What a jerk.
