If you scroll down, you'll see the aluminized finish ones are just $1.42 more.

James, thanks for posting my pics. If anyone wants to do this with their cats I got the aluminized glass packs from JC Whitney for $22 each. The case is 15" long and the inside diameter is 2 1/4". It turned out to be the exact size of the inside diameter of the factory cat. I'm hoping it will pass Colorado emissions when I have to test next year but if not I still have my original cats.

Very well done - especially integrating the exit tips to retain the stock fit to the resonators!
Do you have the part number for these ? I checked the 'JCW' site, and there are 3 listed of 4" diameter and 2.25" tips and internal id. A ZX222834U @$22.99 and a .....833U @$20.99 - they nicely split the $22 quoted without indicating the differences. ( the third , ....835U is $26.99 ).
It would be nice to get the correct length - which JCW do not specify. TIA

Nice Job!
I thought of doing that as well, but i know my cats are still good so i didnt want to butcher a good set when i had a set test pipes sitting around.

Drove the car again yesterday for a while on the freeway. Im very happy with the sound.

Garth,

The catalog # is WB222834U, 4" case, 15" body and 2 1/4" inside diameter. The catalog price is $21.99 which is $1 cheaper than the internet site, kinda strange. While I haven't dynoed the set-up there is definately more power just as Tony is finding out. Hey Tony, what style of center caps are you using with your ATP wheels? What are your offsets? I love the look of them and I'm adding cross drilled rotors since they show so much brake compared to my old forged GT wheels.

And they are fitting okay side by side in the Cat heat shield area Tony? I was thinking of adding these after the X-over on the 78 exhaust. It is Headers, X-over, all the way back to a 2 in 2 out spintech and thats it. It was quite nice at idle, but became boomy at mid range. Wicked at redline obviously, but it was too much otherwise.
