1st off this forum is awesome
todays question is:
when replacing a double disc clutch (in my case in my 83 928 Euro)
do you have to have the clutch assembly and flywheel rebalanced?
thanks again all

Jon Eifert has a great pictoral write up of dual disc clutch replacement, it covers things to avoid doing especially well. Don't have the link to hand, sorry, perhaps someone else can supply.

No, as SharkSkin said, the new clutch disks will have a white mark (dot) on them. These are balance marks. The 2 disks need to be installed with these marks 180 degrees from each other. Once you have the whole clutch assembly put back together and in hand, you want to be careful not to let the short central shaft slip out; otherwise you will have to line the disks back up again.
