Ive searched the forums and read though 10 pages of posts..
cant find my answer..

Will ET 55 offset wheels bolt right on?

Generally, yes - but width, diameter and tire size play a large part in the fit.

I got them on..take a gander... Front tire size is wrong (205's) ..but ill change that

I always say wheels make all the difference to a 928 ... and it never fails to strike me when I see it in living colour.

I was amazed at the difference it made.
My wife HATED the car. When i put the new wheels on..she likes it.

Its funny..you dont notice the small flare above the rear wheels with the discs. But it stands out with the CupII's

what type of profile do you have on the fronts and back? 45 or 50?

They are 255 40 17's (back) (they were already on the rims.) no rubbing or anything. pretty good fit i think.
And 205 50's on the front (which Im changing to 225's)

Default w/ w/o spacers

I've got 17" wheels on both the cars, 996 Cup II's and Turbo Twist's, 7" fronts w/55 offset wearing Kumhos 225/45s, and on the rear are 9" w/52 offset wearing 255/40s. The 85S has the original spacer that the PO left on, probably didn't realise it, but I like the wider look. So far no problems with hitting the fenders with all sorts of spirited driving. In fact, I'm considering 275/40s w/o the spacer on the back. Definite get the 225s up front. Ed M
