Default My recent project an S4

Hi to all, this is what has been keeping me busy, a marine blue S4, it had an arguement with a 4WD you call them SUVs, the other driver was drunk, but did pay the owner for the car, a rich drunk anyway, he was found slumped behind the wheel 6 hours after the crash by the Police. He felt bad and lent the owner of the Porsche a spare car till he could find another.

Anyway here it is now, not a scratch or a dent, I also did a refurb on the interior, the car had done 172KMS or about 110MLS I pulled all the carpets out and gave them a jetwash and replaced the dashboard also. The car has a full authorized service history with Porsche from new and just had a recent 6k service.

So there it is, a somewhat of a rare S4, with piston squiters, forged sintered rods and a foldings rear spoiler. The car is now for sale, hopefully it will make somebody happy, I think I have breathed new life into her, now onto the next project!

Cheers

Default For Garth S

That is the steering wheel I bought the kit from 928 specialists, it looks and feels superb, but I am glad that I didn't stich it up. I feel that is beyond my capabilities.

Greg,
You made a good call on the steering wheel - besides, I only know how to stitch on LHD cars .

Ernest,
I'm not sure it was the hit - I was equally admiring Greg's S2 project post earlier, and it has the same problem! Can congenital dyslexia lead to reassembly mistakes like this? - or is it simply a 'downunder' case of before the wheels were bolted in?

When I first lived here I used to find myself driving at night on long open roads, wondering what the F@@@ that moron approaching me was thinking, being on the wrong bloody side of the road ..... as his headlights approached and my forehead beaded up with sweat ... I realised ... the moron was .....
