Man, I thought those 300GT's were faster. Off the line I power breaked and launched and left him behind pretty fast. He had a 5 speed. We went about 1/4 mile and I was several car lenghts ahead.
My exit was coming up and he followed me and I let him catch up. We punched it from about 40mph and he was toast again. I came up on my next exit and had to break and got over and slowed way down. He did the loser fly by at around 100mhp or so. I had a nice big smile on my face.

I really thought those things were faster then that.

I also forgot that my belly pan is being held up by duct tape LOL.......It was still FUN!

Man I can't wait until Spring and the MURF S/C install!

In the Twin Turbo version the stealth / 3000 are a pretty quick car with over 300 hp. I believe they are a bit heavier than the shark but would give you a good run for your money.
The two stealth's shown are both TT AWD versions

Default Depends on the model.

The 3000GT VR4 (Twin Turbo) is fairly fast. It has 300 hp and is a tad heavier than the S4. However, it has AWD and would have easily gotten a jump on you from the line (with a competent driver). However, the S4 would then reel it in once you got up to speed.

If you completely destroyed him, it was probably a non-turbo version (~220 hp and FWD) - not even a chance.

Cheers,
Jason

Ahhh, I knew there had to be a faster version of that car. I really killed this guy. He must have been in the 220HP car. It was still fun to just walk away from him though :-D

Ya 3000gt twin turbos have around 300 to 320 hp depending on MY, but are very heavy around 3800lbs if I remember correctly and have a pronounced front end heavy weight distribution (almost 60%)....with a few simple mods they are very powerful (easy 450+ some over 700hp), but those are quite rare...chances of coming across a pumped up supra is more likely...still sounds like you had some fun!

Awesome! I haven't run into one of those yet. So far i've beat an STI, a bunch of 'stang GTs, whooped on 350zs, and a few other cars.

The base models after '96 have a 165 horse single cam v6, very slow for a 3300lb car. I had a '97 SL, 24 valve 220 hp, beautiful car. I live in Vegas, and the valets would always park it right by the door.
