Question Colour question

The colour of my GT is marine blue metallic, code 35v 9 7.
Car is from -90 and as far as I can see this colour was only availiable on -87 models?
Is it just down to a buyer paying extra to get the colour he/she wanted?

It also seems that the paint was water based, so my autoshop that I normally use could not fix me a spray can of paint.
Need one to paint the left front side molding missing on the picture.

Cheers/Peter

Marine blue metallic was a standard color for the 1990 model year.

Your car is very beautiful!!!

I just looked at the color brochure for the 1990 model year... Have those for each year the 928 was made.

You are in Sweden, There may be some differences in the paint used in Europe from the cars made for the US. But I had a 88 with 35V and it was standard urethane acrylic base coat clear coat. And there was 3 color formula variations for that color.

So the colour code 35V defines that it is midnight blue right?
Does the 9 and 7 at the end give any other kind of information?
Like water based/Urethan based?

Thanks/Peter
