if the car is settled and those are the new numbers, the caster could be causing your pull.
no reason that your $300 alignment couldnt have fixe it perfect!

Thanks Earl, it was after reading your section on corner balancing that I decided it was safe to simply set both adjustors to the same point when I replaced them.

Mark, I thought that the car would pull in the direction of the least castor, so it should be pulling slightly to the right, not to the left.

I did some work on my brakes yesterday, and when I took the front wheels off I found that my fresh tyres are now wearing slighlty on the outside (they no longer stand upright). I've only done a couple of hundred miles since they were put on the car. This is very disconcerting, although rather intriguing since I've never once seen 928 fronts wear on the outside.

i bet your alignement is out... contrary to popular opinion ive seen serial alignements that are significantly different.

however excess wear on the outer edge can be caused through overzealous cornering especialy on roundabouts, although this mainly affects the nearside.

perhaps the toe is too much and camber not enough? i think the factory alignement is conservative, perhaps you should aim more toward zero total toe and slightly above the maximum camber?

Paul,

Sounds like you now have too much toe-in. I do not recommend that you adjust to less than factory spec toe-in on a street car. If you do, you will end up with inside tire wear. I think the racers are scrubbing off the outside of the tires in the corners to match the inside wear caused by less than recommended toe-in.
