Dam Weather
Ah....I think I'll sit out on the balcony outside of my office today and catch some rays. I need the vitamin D. After all, it IS the second day of winter. Then I'll take a stroll through the park and feed the ducks who bask on the lawn, which is a bright green and just right for a picnic in the SUN. Of course it is a little bit colder than Hawaii from where I originated, but it is boring there this time of year .......no variety....summer is winter and winter is summer....all year around. Ho Hum.. That's why California is so nice: I get a change of seasons and get to wear a sweater in the evening. But of course the SUNroof is open at night all year.
Well, bye for now from friendly, downtown SUNNYvale, California.

Looks like I've done it all, raised in Seattle, Went to school at UCLA and stayed in L.A. 15 years, to Atlanta 5 Years, Back to L.A. for 6 Years and now in Indiana for 5 years. That makes me 150 years old! I prefer L.A.. Indiana is cheap though. I'm building a 4 car garage this summer for all my toys. May even add a bar.
Roger, nice snow scene. I was visiting a friend in Richmond, VA last weekend. When I complained about how cold it was (14 and very icy) and I couldn't work on the 928. My friend offered to take the 928 with him to Dallas, where it doesn't snow, for the holidays. There's no snow and it's 59 here today.
My Father just arrived from Enland last night to get away from the cold UK weather for a few weeks.
It is colder in Dallas than in London - go figure.

Ron - I wish I was in california right now. Currently it has reached our daytime high of - 29. Tomorrow it will be -52 Fahrenheit for our daytime high with the windchill. I am currently looking at moving to somewhere a little warmer
Jim- I don't know if you have experienced any type of weather like this but it is nasty! It is colder than a freezer and your skin freezes in under a minute! I love the feeling you get when you drive and hear a thumping in your car and you know it is the tyres that are frozen with the flat spot on them from sitting overnight

I built the whole thing for $150,000.....now, that was a bargain. Pictures of the garage-mahal may motivate me to post some pictures of my own.......
Snow bound guys do yourself a favor, install a Modine heater in your garage.....It is a cheap luxury........With wind chill, it was a balmy 14 below yesterday.....

Typical winter N E Indiana temps about 20 degrees lowest maybe minus 20 . Maybe 10-12 inchs of snow on the ground at any one time. Lots of freezing ,thawing ,slush and salt !! How I hate salt .....Just enough "winter" to be an inconvenience but not really enough for winter sports like ice racing !! Where one lives is a choice. I know, I know ..family ,friends, employment ,cost of living ,life style, fear of the unknown.

The model home I looked at is considered "out-in-the-boonines". That same home within 5 miles of where I live would cost at least $1 million. I hate Oakland County, Michigan, for that very reason. All the execs from the auto manufacturers and suppliers, have far too much spending power. We even have a Bentley/Rolls dealership around here. We can't enjoy the appreciation our home has gotten over the last 4 years without moving out of state it seems.
This kind of nonsense was parked a few blocks from my house this summer.

Dave, you got it easy, I have John Kerry parked a few blocks from my home......imagine what that does to property values.....He had a hydrant moved by the city, so he could park his jeep closer to his front door.....I would rather the Enzo for a neighbor.....
